Local libraries may offer more than you expect. As well as books and magazines, libraries lend music, DVDs and computer games. Some have coffee shops and all offer free internet access. We need to use them or we will lose them.

Kings Heath Library

2 High St, Birmingham B14 7SW, UK – 0121 464 1515

Very friendly staff at this local library. They could do with updating with new supplies of books, but this is no fault of this particular library as they’re restricted with budgets I guess. Provides an excellent service to the local community.

Always a pleasure visiting my library. Our kids enjoy the facilities. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Must pay a visit.

Balsall Heath Library

497 Moseley Rd, Birmingham B12 9BX, UK – 0121 464 1962

My local library and one of the best I've used; staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and I love using the service; the building is a pleasure to visit and stock seems well-used and well cared-for; keep up the good work, BCC!

It's okay but needs to be updated

Sparkhill Library

641 Stratford Rd, Birmingham B11 4EA, UK – 0121 303 0732

It is a public library with good books. Though more of stories and novels

Wonderful local library. Well used and with friendly and helpful staff. Shame it can't be open full time
