A great cinema recently refurbished to the LUXE edition. The reclining seats are very comfortable and it's hard to imagine watching a film without these seats. They're spacious, clean and definitely worth the extra ticket price. For ideal viewing, I would recommend sitting in the middle for optimum experience, as the higher seats make the screen look small. You need to sit in the row underneath the mid walkway. The entrance to the cinema is superbly renovated with on Costa coffee on site. The underground parking is secure with 3 hour free parking. The entrance is tight so slightly difficult when parking your Rolls Royce Phantom.
Love the new layout. The automated ticketing area is challenging at first glance. For those not at ease with self-service checkins/outs, there are plenty helpful staff eager to assist. The foyer is spacious and have plenty seated areas for you to have a coffee or grab something to eat before of after your movie. A good place for children to unwind and have fun during the summer break.

Love the Mockingbird! I’ve been to a number of private screenings here now for birthdays and the like and it’s always a great outing. They also show some absolute classic films on a regular basis. Great beer selection on the bar next door which also serves good food (try the. Burger!).
Single screen cinema with a casual restaurant as an added bonus. Prices for cinema are half the price of the big multi screen places. Restaurant has a small menu focusing on chicken and burgers. Food is delicious and well presented at a reasonable price. Staff friendly and approachable. Worth a visit just for the food

enjoyed the movie and service was good. staff is very friendly and helpful. toilets were clean. one thing i didn't like was in the cinema room the screen is too low so when you're sitting further up the seats in front tend to cover the lower half of the screen so we struggled to watch the movie comfortably. Also the lights stayed on throughout the movie which was annoying too
Good service from their staffs even though they are only two serving. But had to wait for a long time just to watch movie. Suppose start at 12 but didn't start till 12.40pm. what a long wait and kids had finished popcorn and drink. Would love them to start within 15 mib if the showing time.

Lovely little theatre in the heart of city centre. Have had the pleasure of both performing and watching shows here. Always friendly and welcoming staff with drink knowledge. Reasonable drink prices which is always good to have as well. I always look forward to the next show that comes along. Will be coming back soon.
This is a hidden gem t hats probably missed by visitors from outside the local area but it's well worth finding if you're in the area. The people who make it great have heart and a true love of theatre, dance, and music. The acoustics are fabulous.

We saw Matilda last night - the show was brilliant, good for all ages. The venue was easy to get to - a short from the mailbox where we had parked. There was refreshments on sale. We didn’t have any due to a big dinner - but there seemed to be a good variety. Only thing to note is the prices were high. We had really good seats and could see all the stage. I’m quite tall - 6 foot 3 - and it was a bit cramped, but was on a end seat so could stick my legs out. Apart from those minor issues, really good night at the theatre - would recommend
We came here to watch 'The Band' musical having visited a few times in the past to see pantomimes, Mamma Mia and Dirty Dancing. The great thing with the Hippodrome in Birmingham is that it never disappoints. The location is good, being very handy for public transport (why would anyone drive into Birmingham?) and also to a great range of restaurants, bars and shops. This time around we ate at Jamie's Italian which was amazing. The facilities at the Hippodrome are in excellent condition, the staff know exactly how to help you to get the best out of the show and the bar prices are reasonable. The standard of the performance, lighting, sound and ambience were excellent as always.

Just watched Summer Holiday Show tonight. Ray Quinn, Bobby Crush & the whole cast were amazing! It was high energy, great songs & fun - a real feel good show! Thanks to you all for such a great night out. Has my vote for best show of the year!! 🤩
Great theatre but no lift. Slightly odd layout means you have to use stairs to access the dress circle AND STALLS. For stalls you go up to top floor then down again. On my last visit I did see a disabled entrance but you have to buzz and it is only manned 30 mins before the show starts. Best to call or visit to ask about disabled access. Depending on production the sound can be a bit iffy. They often have the bass too high so you can't hear the lyrics but can feel vibration in the floor. However at some productions the sound is fine so maybe the production company is at fault. Last went to see Summer Holiday. For the first song the bass was too high but after that it was great. They must have adjusted the sound.
